A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Duane Miller in the College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences located at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, Tennessee The Postdoctoral Fellow will be working on the synthesis of new drug molecules that will inhibit tubulin and block the growth of cancer cells. The Postdoctoral Fellow will get directions on the chemical preparation of new molecules from Drs. Duane Miller and Wei Li, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and will report the synthesis progress results in a joint Research Meetings held once per week when both, the making of drug molecules by the postdoctoral fellow and the results from the biological work carried out by another member of our team, will provide results to move our efforts toward a new drug molecule that can be used for the treatment of cancer.
Highly motivated applicants with a strong background in chemistry, medicinal chemistry and biochemistry who would like to work in a rich and collaborative research and training environment will be considered.

Ph.D. in chemistry, medicinal chemistry or pharmaceutical sciences with a strong publication record in the field.
