Position Summary:

The Business Analyst is part of the Comparator Global Business Development Team and as such, works with the Comparator Global Business Development -Team and with the Comparator Global Market Intelligence team to achieve business goals and annual operating plan. The main purpose of this position is to understand business needs by analyzing, validating and documenting them. The job holder will work independently and in close collaboration with the internal stakeholders to ensure the proposed dashboards and systems respond to business requirements and align to the overall business strategy. The candidate will actively manage our internal database by assembling, cleaning and producing dashboards &reports for a wide array of stakeholders.

The post holder must ensure that the services provided are delivered on time and adhere to the Thermo Fisher standards of quality and compliance.


  • Accountability for delivering Annual Operating Plan in terms of market intelligence services to internal & external clients.
  • Meet goals in accordance with company initiatives and vision.

1. Data Business Intelligence

  • Data stewardship of our internal database including management of large & complex datasets
  • Liaise between IT Team and the business to agree on requirements and delivery
  • Configuration & maintenance of systems functionalities based on users requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to use data with a focus on develop monitor and maintain business analytics and visualization tools
  • Provide analyses and data visualization that will help data-driven decision and contribute to drive the strategy
  • Identify and resolves gaps between new and exciting business tools and facilitate implementation of the new business tool
  • Reporting on financial analytics
  • Support the team on ad-hoc requests
  • Generate market assessment reports & dashboards for non-standard or high complexity requests for information.
  • Develop & maintain Sourcing opportunity tracker to monitor active opportunities
  • Use IQVIA Health, Datamonitor and Citeline (Trialtrove / Pharmaprojects) to support analysis on clinical trial pipelines, reveal unique sourcing trends and forecast customer demand.
  • Maintain Sourcing E-Tierboard (as a back-up)

2. Communication with business development, project management & sourcing

  • Foster clear communication with the Comparator team
  • Support the Comparator business developers, project Managers and sourcing manager / specialists in their projects.
  • Support customer services by IQVIA enhanced sourcing solutions as an extension to existing service offerings and to improve customer engagement

3. Quality and compliance Ensure compliance to all FCS's rules and regulation from QA, legal and finance.

4. Others

  • Active part in generation of business planning, budgeting, identification of market trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At minimum, bachelor's degree is required preferably in IT, engineering or Finance.
  • Passionate in data visualization, testing and troubleshooting data quality
  • Excellent Analytical to synthetize complex or diverse information
  • Identify and resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate accuracy & thoroughness in data
  • Highly Customer centric & Consultative approach
  • Experience in implementing Power Bi solutions, data modeling, report dashboards design
  • Ability to speak, listen and write in a clear, concise, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.

  • English fluency in writing & speaking. Other languages beneficial.
  • Advanced computer literacy (data base management, interfaces).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of previous experience work experience is preferred in data business intelligence or Business analysis
  • Experienced in sales data management (sellout/in, ex-fact.) is a plus
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical business services.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and achieve key outcomes and follow through to get things done and deliver what is promised.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
Initial contract for this position is fixed term, 6 months.
