How will you make an impact?
Responsible for the Technical sales and related support activities for Flow Cytometry Instrumentation, specializing in analyzers and sorters, to specified academic, government or industrial accounts comprising the assigned territory of the Midwest United States: MI, IN, IL, MO, WI, MN, ND, SD. Ideally located in Chicago but other locations in the territory will be considered.
What will you do?
Demonstrate selling success in the area of Flow Cytometry analyzers and cell sorters
Display an acute awareness of the life science marketplace, particularly of the flow cytometry market, its trends and our competitors
Have prior experience working in a laboratory
The Flow Cytometry Instrument portfolio contains innovative, high-quality flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters. Our business unit serves researchers worldwide empowering the process of scientific discovery with a strong focus on the areas of applied markets, cellular immunity, immunotherapy and oncology.
How will you get here?
Requires a BA or BS in Biology, Immunology or related field, preferred M.Sc. or PhD
Previous lab experience utilizing flow cytometry or previous sales experience selling flow cytometry equipment and/or reagents
Strong technical background with a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting
Background and familiarity with Flow Cytometry
Experience in working successfully in a matrix environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong oral and written communication skills
Success in working and driving business in a matrix environment
Ability to travel overnight travel up to 50% of the time
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Able to lift 35 lbs. independently
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of CRM systems like SFDC
Solid understanding of the sales funnel and how to move sales forward in a changing environment
Can-do attitude with exceptional motivation to win sales and take share from competitors
