Supervisor, Regional Buyer
You will be involved with wine, beer and spirits buying and replenishment for stores in the Total Wine & More chain, reporting to Sr. Manager, Market Management. Our team is unique in that it is a mix of supply chain and buying and has a direct influence on the products we sell. A large part of this role will be focused on the buying responsibilities for a specific market, but will also involve responsibilities targeted at project management, new programs, special projects and process improvement.
You will be responsible for:
Buying / Vendor Management
o Help promote the internal processes and identify improvement opportunities in how we work with external market level within your market(s).
o Perform cost and deal analysis
o Promotional Material Management and Tracking (Coupons, IRCs, Displays)
o Vendor Meeting Management
o You will collaborate with other departments on cross functional projects as needed
o Develop a working knowledge of the markets/states you are responsible for, including competitive landscape, advertising and promotional trends.
o Resolution of vendor service issues
o Respond to inquiries regarding supplier product availability and costs
o Cost File Maintenance for thousands of items on monthly basis
o Replenishment Ordering and PO placement
o Manage store in stock rates and inventory levels
o Identify opportunities to cut costs, grow sales or increase Gross Margin.
o You will develop and help execute the project plans to achieve these goals. This would include:
o You will represent our department on large-scale projects as an expert
o Work with cross functional teams to achieve desired end result
You will come with
- Bachelor's degree
- 4 or more years in related field
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Build relationships with partners
- Basic accounting skills and interest in performing accounting task
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
