Responsible for leading a Second Line of Defense compliance testing team and oversee successful completion of a testing schedule with projects that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Primary areas of focus of the team include compliance requirements for the Wealth Management and Investment Services and Corporate & Commercial Banking as well as international compliance requirements for all applicable business lines. Accountable for the active identification, response and/or escalation of risks as appropriate. Influences policies, procedures and process through the testing process to minimize regulatory exposure. Accountable for an effective partnership between the Line of Business and other regulatory compliance partners.


Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

- 15 or more years of experience in an applicable risk management environment

- Applicable certifications

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Considerable knowledge of applicable compliance laws, regulations, financial services, and compliance regulatory trends
- Background of compliance requirements related to fiduciary/trust, securities, fund administration, investment banking (capital markets), and/or international compliance (primarily Europe)
- Considerable knowledge of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
- Expert knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
- Ability to manage job scope and complexity of assigned business at the multi-departmental and/or multi-divisional level
- Strong leadership and management skills of processes, projects and people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
