    • Bachelor in Exercise Science or equivalent. ACSM Health Fitness Instructor or Exercise Specialist certification preferred. 3 years of fitness and exercise experience required.

  • Job Description
    • Responsible for providing instruction, guidance, and motivation to facility members. Responsible for day to day operations of facility. Hire and train staff. Hours may be irregular.Under the general supervision of the Medical Director of Cardiac Services, directs the activities of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. These activities include personnel management, financial management and administrative services that relate to validity, accuracy and timely results of rehabilitation for cardiac and pulmonary patients. Plans, organizes and delineates duties and responsibilities of all departmental personnel. Prepares for changes dealing with improved service delivery by developing short and long-term objectives. Ensures that the staff is compliant with hospital policies and procedures as well as specific department policies and procedures, participates in hospital programs as well as other functions as may be assigned. Participates in hospital programs and functions as required.

      A member of the multi-discipline rehabilitation staff working with in/outpatients who have experienced a cardiac event or suffer from pulmonary disease. Develops and supervises exercise prescriptions and actively participates in the education/recovery process of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation of patients. Compliant with hospital policies and procedures as well as department policies and procedures participates in hospital programs as well as other functions as may be assigned.
  • Required Licensures / Certificiations / Registrations
    • BLS & AED Training with in 90 days of hire date.
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Work is of moderate demand. Walking and standing a great deal of the time. Hearing and visual activity and clear speak patterns are necessary. Indoor work equipment including but is not limited to: treadmills, cycles, strength training circuit, and audiovisual equipment
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills requiredComputer literacy required.
