Position Summary:
Incumbent is responsible for the provision of patient-level financial and clinical data and analysis to inform and partner with the medical center/assigned service line for financial and strategic decision making. Includes the development of a case-based operating budget for patient volume, detailed utilization projections and gross revenue. Oversees the service line profitability reporting, the cost accounting system, and the decision support system integration of clinical and financial data. Provides for the measurement and benchmarking of business operations in relation to best business practices for the healthcare industry and internal business objectives.
Salary Range:
Rate Minimum $74,300.00 Maximum $159,600.00
Required Qualifications:
5 years of experience in a hospital based environment working with general ledger and cost data as well as service line and payor analysis
Ability to anticipate questions and address information needs by providing comprehensive analyses
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated advanced level of analytical skill
Demonstrated knowledge of Decision Support Systems and subsystems
Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
Evidence of sound critical thinking skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with staff and senior management
Must possess general knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies (per diem, per case, capitation, indemnity, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Master‘s degree in business administration, health administration, CPA, or other relevant degree program
Previous experience in an academic medical center or complex teaching environment
