Hand & Plastic Surgeon
University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health
The University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) has a full-time position immediately available for a full-time BE/BC hand & plastic surgeon. Residency training in plastic surgery and a hand surgery fellowship strongly preferred.
Located in a vibrant and growing community 30 minutes north of Baltimore, this is a well-established, hospital employed practice which is a mix of hand, reconstructive, breast and aesthetic surgery with an opportunity to further expand driven by the surgeon’s expertise and vision. Current practice is comprised of two surgeons, one physician assistant, and in-office nationally recognized hand therapists. As a community-based component of a regional academic system, UM UCH offers the best of both worlds to its medical staff. High quality and clinically efficient care provided in a patient centered fashion are top priorities. Participation in hand call is expected (in a community hospital versus trauma center setting).
In addition, UM UCH is led by a dynamic and innovative team and has a rapidly expanding clinical infrastructure including newly established bed-towers, outpatient pavilions and a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center all set to open in 2023.
This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Harford County, Maryland is a desirable suburban community offering strong schools, safe neighborhoods, and diverse recreational activities with easy access (30-75 minute drive) to larger metropolitan areas such as Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. This is a tremendous opportunity for a surgeon interested in planting long-term roots. Please contact Marian Whitlock.
UMMS hospitals and health care facilities are equal opportunity employers and proud of an
environment of diversity.
