Job Summary

Customer Counter is a "Will Call" center that holds packages for UPS customers for five working business days. the Customer Counter is a customer facing facility that is open 6 days a week. Mon-Fri 8am to 8pm and Saturdays 10am to 1pm. Aside of holding will call packages, many skills are needed. The Customer Counter is a fast paced, under pressure, environment. One must have the ability to handle various situations all at once. This includes the following: shipping packages, properly packing packages, understanding ETT and UDC, delivering correct packages to consignee, attention to detail, searching for packages on package trucks/ slides/ cages/ offices, etc; dealing with customer compleints/ issues and resolve, leading and managing team, ensuring the flow of the Counter is going smoothly overall. Supervisor is responsible for ensuring there is a full staff int he evening and resolving all employees and customers issues when applicable

Job Duties

  • Train and hire new employees (contingent and UPSers)
  • Post employees weekly schedule
  • Handle customers concerns and resolve
  • Complete end of day reports daily
  • Check emails daily
  • Cash control/ monthly cash turn in
  • Complete Conveyor Securing and Guard Inspection daily report
  • Tasks all evening employees with end of day duty responsibilities
  • All other duties, tasks, complete as needed
  • Must be able to work Saturdays

  • Proper shipping procedures/ understanding i-ship/ cash control/ credit card maching and printing lables
