Fidelity TalentSource is hiring a User Experience Designer for Fidelity Investments in Merrimack NH

We're looking for designers to create compassionate, inclusive, usable, and elegant experiences that achieve business objectives and help customers achieve their goals.

The Team

In this role, you'll be responsible for understanding the attitudes and needs of Fidelity's Institutional clients and translating this knowledge into useful, usable, and beautiful experiences delivered via desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. You'll also use your communication skills to facilitate the design process and engage in positive discussions with your design team, business partners and developers.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong information architecture, visual design, and interaction design skills. Although the role is part of a team that includes user research and front-end development, an understanding of methodologies, capabilities, and limitations of those disciplines is a necessity.

The Expertise You Have
  • Relevant experience as an interaction designer, experience designer, information architect, or a similar role
  • The ability to understand customer needs, motivations, and behaviors and translate them into deliverable tasks
  • Confidence crafting an experience vision for highly transactional websites, web-based, or desktop applications
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality interaction designs to customers/stakeholders in a collaborative environment
  • Experience creating design artifacts such as (but not limited to), wireframes, user flows, user journey maps, design comps, prototypes
  • Practical experience facilitating customer and user sessions, contextual research, and usability tests
  • Experience with Agile methodology and tools
  • Proven expertise with Sketch, Axure, InVision, or Photoshop
The Skills You Bring
  • Creating and telling cohesive stories about our users, proposed solutions, and related outcomes
  • Distilling qualitative and quantitative feedback to unearth recurring themes and promote data-driven design decisions
  • Working independently and building positive relationships with technology and business partners
  • Your proven experience in designing web and desktop interfaces using established design systems
  • Your outstanding social and presentation skills; equally at ease speaking with development teams or executives when articulating and advocating design concepts and rationale
The Value You Deliver
  • You provide business partners with strategic support by leading sessions to document user flows, journey maps, and define the user problem to solve
  • Simultaneously lead design activities for multiple web, desktop, and mobile based development projects
  • Strive to build reciprocal relationships with our internal business clients and project teams to translate their business requirements into usable and captivating experiences
  • Develop scenarios, user flows, screen designs, and interaction models
  • Facilitate design reviews with technology teams, internal business customers, and project partners
  • Help develop UX guidelines and standards for use across all products to meet the strategic goals of the organization
