Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity exists within our Maintenance Team at Alcoa Lake Charles for a Multi-Craft Electrician!
Responsible for the shift's maintenance needs as the electrical subject matter expert, and assisting with some millwright responsibilities. Daily task include: reading equipment manuals, prints, and schematics to troubleshoot/calibrate instruments and drives; and installing motors, drives, and components. Some of this work will be in elevated spaces and require lifting up to fifty pounds on occasion. Most work involves 24v, 120v, 240v, and 480v. Some work on direct current motors as well.

- Demonstrated ability as an industrial maintenance electrical journeyman
- High school diploma/GED
- Computer proficiency to search for drawings, procedures, and use of our maintenance management software
- Willingness to perform minor mechanical activities to include, but not limited to: change bearings, change couplings, running heavy equipment, minor welding, torching, & grinding, greasing, and cable changes
- Be engaged and contribute daily to the team's success!
Our facility is in South-West Louisiana and provides anode grade petroleum coke for aluminum production. The site employs a team of 50 and maintains a positive relationship with local contractors and Union leadership. The expert team is an excellent resource for mentorship.
