THE ROLE: 

In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining the ledger accounts, closing activities, and reporting related to fixed assets.  

THE PERSON: 

You are a results-oriented self-starter with excellent communication skills.  You possess attention to detail and well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. You have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and are comfortable with ambiguity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining the ledger accounts, closing activities, and reporting related to fixed assets. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Assets Master data maintenance, processing of capitalization, retirements, transfers, disposals, and inter-co transfer in accordance with US GAAP, Local GAAP and AMD's policies
• Perform monthly Fixed Assets Account reconciliation and Balance Sheet Review on Plant, Property & Equipment, Leases and Licenses
• Prepare Fixed Assets related schedule, depreciation reasonableness and analysis and project assignments
• Reconcile month-end operating and finance leases, monitor and manage the appropriate lease controls and system
• Driving to execute appropriate control over fixed assets eligibility and useful life
• Coordinate physical asset count and asset tagging
• Being a key contact for Internal / External Reporting regarding fixed assets and ensures that financial statement disclosures are accurately stated
• Fostering strong relationships with business partners, maintaining a detailed understanding of capital and leveraging that understanding to maintain appropriate control
• Involve in KPI & metrics tracking and measurement
• Prepare reports & presentation decks for management and business partners
• Participate in on-going system/process simplifications and improvement projects

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Related accounting experience is preferred
• Proven experience in financial software applications or ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA, Blackline Reconciliation Tools etc.)
• Passionate or experience in automation tools and technologies such as Power BI, RPA etc.
• Proactive, detailed oriented and solid analytical skills
• A team player and able to work independently with tight deadlines and minimal supervision.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent
