Summary and Qualifications:
This position conducts analyses that support appropriate strategic direction of practice growth (NHO and HAI).
Responsible for applying predictive modeling tools to provide guidance on hospital deployment (e.g., revenue forecasts, market reviews, cannibalization techniques, competitive review, co-tenancy, site evaluations).
This role will maintain databases and prepare maps and other relevant presentation materials that support strategic growth objectives.Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
Create maps and support materials for senior-level assessment of relevant market data.
Collect and analyze competitor and business partner data to provide in-depth analyses of new market opportunities.
Develop and maintain vendor-provided services and systems that help support critical business functions.
Prepare and maintain reports that inform on the health of the practice at a market by market level.
Review acquisition opportunities and compile relevant information about the prospect, the market and position/fit relative to the existing and planned portfolio of hospitals of all VHG/VCA brands.
Support the research needs of the Site Selection managers and work with line manager to assist in providing strategic guidance and site specific due diligence to be prepared for the approval process.
GIS mapping and associated database management, to ensure the ability to provide timely and accurate information regarding our existing and proposed fleet of hospitals.

Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.

Bachelor's or relevant work experience to gain exposure to real estate planning efforts of a multi-unit retailer or service provider is required.
Field of study of Business Administration (Real Estate), Geography (GIS), Urban Planning is preferred.
At least two years of exposure to or some experience in GIS methodologies and general understanding of how and why customers/markets/regions behave the way they do is required.
Basic GIS Skills, cursory understanding of statistical analysis and how it applies in business is required.
One to two years of experience working with a multi-unit retail/service operator or Real Estate brokerage firm is preferred.
Health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.). is preferred.
