CVS Health is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our team and take on the responsibility of developing patterns and standards for open source/open systems hardware in order to launch CVS Linux derivatives. You will be tasked with designing and developing hardware components in close collaboration with our software engineers to make sure CVS infrastructure platforms operate reliably and efficiently. In this role, you will play a vital part in the continuous improvement and growth of our Linux-based infrastructure. 1. Design, develop, and implement Linux-based infrastructure solutions to meet CVS Health's operational and business requirements. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document hardware patterns and standards for open source/open systems hardware. 3. Determine hardware requirements and evaluate potential hardware solutions to ensure compatibility with CVS Linux derivatives and business requirements. 4. Conduct research and analysis to identify the latest technology trends and apply them to enhance the Linux-based infrastructure. 5. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of hardware patterns, standards, and best practices. 6. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure-related issues, including performance optimization, system tuning, and capacity planning. 7. Collaborate with peer groups, such as software developers and security teams to ensure the integrity, performance, and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure systems. 8. Establish performance monitoring and KPI's, and perform analysis of Linux-based infrastructure systems to identify areas of improvement and implement optimization strategies. 9. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and enforce Linux security policies, procedures, and standards. 10. Participate in the planning, configuration, and deployment of new Linux-based solutions and technologies.- 10+ years' in Linux system administration and related tools, with a strong understanding of Linux operating systems (kernel level), network protocols, and security. - 5+ years' experience with Linux Operating System Engineering or similar role involving a strong focus on secure build patching and updating. - 5+ years' Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl to develop automation tools and frameworks.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. *Pay Range* The typical pay range for this role is: $140,000.00 - $280,000.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.    In addition to your compensation, enjoy the rewards of an organization that puts our heart into caring for our colleagues and our communities.  The Company offers a full range of medical, dental, and vision benefits.  Eligible employees may enroll in the Company's 401(k) retirement savings plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan is also available for eligible employees.  The Company provides a fully-paid term life insurance plan to eligible employees, and short-term and long term disability benefits.
