We are hiring an Operations Manager-Grandville, MI~

 

As a Manager with Fluid Power, you will plan, direct, and coordinates the specific actions through the areas of Production, Warehouse, and the Procurement of goods. The Manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, proficiency, and profitability of locations within their area of responsibility

What you'll do:

  • Responsible and accountable for leading, driving, managing, and developing associate competencies in operations to ensure growth and profitability and to provide the highest level of Customer service.
  • Accountable for the performance management of financials, asset management, operational performance metrics and company policies.
  • Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of all EHS related programs.
  • Work with Sales Management and Purchasing to branch product availability to meet customer requests.
  • Implementation of Quality Management and Operational Excellence processes.
  • Drive adoption of Standards of Work, tools, business processes and polices utilizing engineering drawings.
  • Utilize key metrics to evaluate and recommend best practices for operations.  Develop operating procedures & provide training for functional departments
  • Ensure compliance to Field Controls, both SOX and Operational requirements; Confirm associate responses to the Quarterly Status Report are accurate.
  • Assist with preparation of annual operating budget and monitor actual to plan.

We seek:

  • Education in Manufacturing Engineering/Industrial & Production Engineering
  • Quality certification through ASQ (American Society for Quality). 
  • The ability to use/read Solidworks as it relates to Mechanical Design.
  • Industry experience.
  • Previous experience managing functional teams.
  • Prior experience with hydraulics, process control and Instrumentation strongly desired.
  • Proven ability to provide maximum operational efficiency.
  • Have a proven ability to attract and retain outstanding talent and assemble and motivate high performance teams.
  • Previous experience in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
