Job Summary:
This practice cares for a high-volume of patients in the community and is part of the Englewood Health Physician Network (EHPN). Under the direction of the Practice Administrator and/or EHPN Director, this position Supports EHPN practice site operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining timely flow of patients; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring administrative functions and supervising staff. In addition, they will achieve financial objectives by participating in annual budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.

Job Essentials:

  • Three (3) years of administrative experience including one year of medical office experience required. 
  • Prior medical practice supervisory/management experience highly preferred.  
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and systems.
  • Prior experienceand a good understanding of medical practice operations and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure to answer correspondence and prepare reports.
  • Solid planning, organizing, delegating and supervisory skills.
  • Skilled in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
  • Able to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems and applications. Knowledgeable on how to operate a variety of office equipment.
  • Able to deal with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively.
  • Excellent oral communication skills required.  


Education:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
