Description

Hybrid and Battery Electric technology is at the core of the next generation of products from small personal vehicles to mass transit systems.  Are you interested in working at the true core of the vehicle designs with Motors, dyno stations, and full-scale production testing?  If so, we have the right job for you.  As a Vehicle Technician at ENSCO, you will be working on hybrid and battery electric commercial transit and/or military ground vehicles that use innovative technology to improve operational efficiency and enhance performance while at the same time, help to preserve our environment.  

This position involves a wide range of activities that include, but not limited to laboratory test setups, vehicle servicing, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical and electrical issues.  These lab or vehicle integrations may be solo projects or as a member of a team that will likely include low and high voltage wiring, plumbing of cooling systems, welding and/or fabrication.  Best qualified candidates must have a CDL driver's license with a clean record to assist engineering with test drives and communicating those tests to the team electronical and/or verbally.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues
  • Experience with welding and fabrication
  • Knowledgeable in federal and state regulations governing commercial vehicle operations
  • Ability to travel for short term installations and upgrades

Requirements

  • Associates and 1 year experience or 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience with commercial vehicle mechanical/electrical system architecture
  • Experience with vehicle repair and diagnostics
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, etc)
  • CDL with Manual Endorsement and "P" Endorsement
  • Clean driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including working in team environments
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients and colleagues
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
