The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting in providing clinical care to select patients under the supervision of the professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner and provides clerical office assistance.

We are hiring for multiple CMA positions for this practice. This is an amazing opportunity if you are looking for growth and development. You will work with several specialties including Thoracic, ENT, Pulmonary, and Interventional Pulmonary. In addition, you will also support Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Plastic Surgery, and Head and Neck. This is a fast paced practice where you will support a specific specialty on a given work day. You may room patients and assist with administrative tasks to ensure the best care for our patient population. The schedule will be 8:00am- 4:30pm or 8:30- 5:00pm Monday through Friday. This position will spend the majority of the time in Edison however may rotate to travel to additional local offices ( Holmdel / Old Bridge ) as needed ( 1-2 times per week). Reimbursement will be applied based on HMH policy.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent such as a GED
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with varying populations
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Registered Medical Assistant or National Certified Medical Assistant or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Clinical Medical Assistant Specialist
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
