Description

We are currently seeking a Lighting Student Intern to join our team. Learn more about being an intern with HOK St. Louis in this video .  

During this internship, you will work with a project team to assist overall efforts of completing various project phases.

  • Participates in current lighting projects, with tasks encompassing presentation drawings, physical and computer modeling, photometric calculations, detail documentation, team coordination and site visits.
  • Produces CAD and BIM/REVIT documentation of lighting plans and details.
  • May prepare presentation material and/or imagery.
  • Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
Required Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Proficiency in Revit/BIM.
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in team environment.

The following skills are a plus, but not required:

  • Knowledge about sustainability and LEED preferred.
  • Knowledge of AGI32 & lighting computational software (AGI32, Elumtools, Radiance).
  • Proficiency in graphic design and image editing software (Adobe Creative Suite)
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in lighting and/or electrical related Bachelor and/or Master's degree from an accredited architecture or architectural engineering university program with at least one year remaining.
