What will you be doing? 

SCHEDULE: Mix of first and second shift - Must be available to work a split shift or second shift on occasion. 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and set up test EMC/EMI samples and test equipment.
  • Operate equipment and perform testing in accordance with approved EMC/EMI test plan.
  • May assist with test plan creation and/or method development; May create test plans or method development independently for assigned tests within area of expert knowledge.
  • Obtain and record test data in accordance with standards.
  • Extract and compile engineering data
  • Perform analysis of test data; research and troubleshoot inconsistent test data.
  • Draft, create or pre-review final test reports.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed, including monitoring calibration and SPC.
  • Make recommendations regarding the interpretation and applicability of test standards.
  • Communicate with clients regarding general project inquiries, updates, etc.
  • Provide training and work instructions to lower level technicians.
  • Provide pricing information for client quotation requests.
  • Performing other work as required.

What qualifications do you need? 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years directly related technical experience; EMC/EMI experience preferred
  • Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools
  • Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
  • Microsoft Office software expertise, including Word, Excel and Outlook
