This role focuses on plating research and development, offering hands-on experience and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
Summary: As a Chemist on our AMT team, you will play a vital role in operating a trivalent chrome plating development line and supporting testing in the Corrosion Engineering lab. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative plating processes, corrosion preventatives, and collaborative troubleshooting for Caterpillar components.
Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze organic and inorganic compounds for quality and process control.
• Customize products, formulas, and analytical methods.
• Compile and analyze test information for process efficiency and malfunction diagnosis.
• Write technical papers, reports, and prepare standards.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers on research projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related discipline.
• 0-2 years of experience (entry-level).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic chemistry testing/analysis skills.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Desire to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
