Position Summary

The Sr. Financial Analyst provides financial analytical support to the Consumer Business Unit and oversees all costs and expenses for the P&L. This role partners with BU Marketing, Sales Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial Sales, Business Unit Leadership, and other internal/external departments to facilitate business decisions and develop strategies to increase profitability and optimize resources through analytical and financial modeling.

Essential Functions
  • Support COGS and OPEX Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess ROI for key initiatives.
  • Marketing Promotional Activities: Provide key decision support through analytical modeling for business strategies and resource utilization. Serve as a liaison between Finance and the Consumer Marketing team on P&L considerations and financial impacts.
  • Project Analysis: Prepare and present project outcomes to internal stakeholders, justify analytical outcomes to build management confidence.
  • Data and Analytical Needs: Proactively identify potential needs to support business objectives.
  • Budget and Forecasting: Manage yearly budget and monthly forecasting for COGS and OPEX.
  • Business P&L Forecasts: Ensure accurate forecasts with the Financial Planning Team, quantify risks and opportunities.
  • Complex Information Analysis: Oversee analysis using large data sets from various sources.
  • Investigation of Trends: Initiate and facilitate investigations of variances and cost trends.
  • Profitability Analysis: Develop analyses related to coupons and measure ROI for business initiatives.
  • Special Projects: Oversee projects/studies of moderate to complex scope; perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
  • Monthly Operating Review: Perform reviews and related presentations, highlight financial successes and challenges, and consider key P&L drivers.
Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA, graduate degree or advanced certification (CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of related financial management experience within a corporate environment with a proven track record of success; experience in financial planning, forecasting, etc. Experience in the CPG industry strongly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Hands-on financial forecasting experience.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets to make business recommendations.
    • Leadership experience in budget planning and tracking.
    • Proficient with MS Office.
    • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Planning, Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI preferred.
    • Strong communication skills and successful track record of working with cross-functional teams.
