Unit Highlights

Join MedStar Health Harbor Hospital's Labor and Delivery team and play a pivotal role in delivering expert care to expectant mothers and their newborns. Our Labor and Delivery Unit stands out with its unique approach – L&D RNs serve as dedicated nurses to mothers during deliveries, while Neonatal Assessment Nurses specialize in caring for infants. With a 10-bed unit, part of our Certified Baby-Friendly Women's Health Unit, mothers enjoy spacious, private L&D rooms. Choose the schedule that suits you best with straight shifts, including day or evening shifts, featuring three 12-hour shifts per week and a rotating weekend schedule (every 3rd weekend) with minimal on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
