General Summary of Position
MedStar Health Research Institute has an immediate opportunity for a Research Administrative Assistant / Project Coordinator to join our team. This is a hybrid position so candidates must be local to the Washington, DC area.
Works in a fast-paced research scientific center and assists in the areas of regulatory, contracts and finance for research projects. Responsibilities include timely and accurate routing, tracking and processing of regulatory documents, coordination of the routing contracts, check request vouchers, and interdepartmental transfers across the system.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Associate's degree in related field preferred
Experience
- 7 years of applicable experience in administrative training preferably office coordination positions required
- Prior experience working in a research setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent typing skills.
- Must have working knowledge of various computer software applications, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and be willing to be a team player on a variety of levels with a variety of associates, consultants and vendors.
- Must have excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
