Job Description:

The Reliability Test Engineer will be based in Fremont, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Design, own, execute and report on long term tests.
• Collaborate with design, system, asset management groups to understand application of component and interaction at the sub-system and system level.
• Understand environment and performance of fielded components and provide feedback to supplier and sustaining engineering groups as part of continuous improvement.
• Overseeing maintenance and calibration of testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Maintaining detailed records of testing procedures, results, and providing comprehensive reports to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of work experience.
• BS in mechanical, materials or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with designing test rigs, experience with accelerated testing is desired.
• Solid understanding of physics of failure for mechanical and electromechanical devices and ability to design tests based on said understanding.
• Failure analysis to understand root cause and drive resolution for failures originating in testing.
• Knowledge of programming/scripting (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB etc.) for test automation, data analysis and processing.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ASTM, SAE, ISO, IEC, UL etc.), testing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including machining, welding and fabrication.

Salary Range - $100,000-$130,000
