This Sr. Embedded Firmware Engineer position is a hybrid role (3x per week onsite) that will be based at our headquarters in Fremont, California. There is minimal travel associated with this role, up to 10% to the sites (domestic) if required.
Here is a glimpse of what you'll do
Design and implementation of embedded firmware for the new generation of our products.
Maintain and debug firmware for current and past generations of our products.
Work with cross functional teams to understand the system requirements and to support them in various system level tests.
Hardware and firmware bring up on new designs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) or related engineering field with 4+ years of hands-on embedded firmware development experience preferably with ARM cortex.
Strong in C programming language and libraries for bare metal and/or RTOS.
In-depth understanding of embedded programming concepts and techniques such as DMA, interrupt, preemption, state machine, OTA, bootloader, stack, and heap.
Experience with hardware peripherals such as GPIO, UART/USART, RS232, RS485, timer, watchdog, ADC/DAC, I2C, SSI/SPI.
Hardware and firmware bring up experience.
Experience with hardware/software debugging tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG programmers/debuggers.
Experience in bug fixes and adding new features to the existing code base.
Ability to travel, up to 10% to the sites (domestic) if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in IoT security such as ARM TrustZone is a big plus.
Experience in RTOS, preferably Azure ThreadX or FreeRTOS, is a big plus.
Experience with version control using GIT or similar, issue tracking systems like JIRA or similar.
Good problem-solving and documentation skills.
Self-motivated and able to work well independently and in a team environment.
Pay Range (Applicable to California) $165,000 - $180,000 Annual
