SALARY: $15.00 Hourly
OPEN TO ENROLLED ONEIDA TRIBAL MEMBERS ONLY
NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK: 32 HOURS PER WEEK
INTERN DUTIES/PROJECTS
- Learn to design and develop multi-media-based layouts in a variety of Adobe Creative Cloud formats.
- Learn how to assist staff and clients with conceptional designs for web/print/video-based platforms.
- Learn to design for social media: Facebook & Instagram.
- Learn to process print jobs from customer service to finishing.
- Assist with photographs of public events as assigned.
- Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.

INTERN SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/COLLEGE MAJOR
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in graphic arts or closely related media field.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Frequently sit and walk.
- Occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs; lift and or move up to 40 pounds of paper.
- A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs; Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Knowledge in media file management.
- Knowledge in basic design concepts and ability to pitch ideas.
- Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters. (Must sign a confidentiality statement prior to employment.)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must adhere to the Nation's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
- Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nation's Gaming Division.
