Position Summary

In this role, a Software Customer Support at PMA assists clients in getting as much value as possible out of our products, particularly during onboarding and ongoing use and when resolving issues encountered along the way. In this role, you will be working alongside a small team of self-organizing product managers, engineers, and designers who develop commercial software applications with many innovative features, as well as the opportunity to grow into a Customer Success Manager role.  

In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be responding to support tickets and providing customers with timely and effective solutions. You will also manage customer licensing systems, write and maintain end-user documentation, translate bug reports into reproducible test cases, and contribute to other QA efforts. Additional tasks include tracking support-related KPIs/OKRs and implementing customer support-related process improvements.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in computer science, statistics, engineering, math, or related field required.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a customer support, product management, Scrum Master, or UX research/design role for commercial software applications required.

  • Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills required.

  • Strong soft skills (i.e., patience, flexibility, empathy, efficiency, consistency, perseverance, and accountability) required.

  • Must be a strong problem solver, detail-oriented, have a positive attitude, and be motivated to learn.

  • A Scrum Master certification is preferred.

  • Knowledge of project planning/scheduling processes/tools (e.g., Microsoft Project); project management; or the construction industry preferred.
