Summary

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for the accurate compilation and maintenance of records pertaining to the quantity, type, size, and value of merchandise and supplies within the establishment. Through meticulous attention to detail and systematic procedures, the Inventory Clerk ensures that inventory operations run smoothly and efficiently.

In this role, you will
  • Conduct accurate counts of materials, merchandise, and supplies in stock, and meticulously record totals in inventory databases.
  • Analyze and compare inventories with office records, cross-referencing data from sales orders, production records, and purchase invoices to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity. 
  • Scrutinize clerical computations against physical stock counts, promptly rectifying any discrepancies and thoroughly investigating the underlying causes. 
  • Gather and consolidate information related to the receipt and disbursement of merchandise and supplies, calculating inventory balances, prices, and costs with precision. 
  • Generate comprehensive reports, including inventory balances, price lists, and shortage analyses, to facilitate informed decision-making and efficient inventory management. 
  • Identify depleted items and recommend surveys to assess the condition of defective or unusable items, contributing to proactive maintenance and replenishment strategies. 
What you bring to RNDC
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;  
  • or six months to one-year related experience and/or training;  
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.
