SAIC has an opportunity for a qualified candidate to join the SAIC family supporting one of our programs.  The successful candidate will be asked to oversee, design, engineer, and Implement solutions for a global enterprise agency.  The Lead Cloud Security Architect (LSCA) will provide initiatives as directed and offer solutions to enhance, security protocols in order to secure and protect all data source enclaves. Furthermore, LCSA will have extensive experience in designing and implementing security measures for cloud-based solutions. As a LCSA, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our cloud infrastructure and solutions, developing, and implementing security standards and best practices, and providing technical guidance to other security architects and engineers.

We are seeking an expert in applying all aspects of Defensive Security – policy, planning and continuous monitoring for a DoD customer. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast-paced team. The successful candidate will be securing enterprise Services increasing performance, security, scalability, and stability while reducing costs and complexity.  

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

Manage the coordination, application, implementation and execution of Cybersecurity Services Incident Response, IA policy, A&A, mitigation recommendations, etc. Additional responsibilities of the Security Manager shall include:

  • Develop and implement security measures for cloud-based solutions that meet Government requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other security architects and engineers.
  • Develop and implement security standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure and solutions in AWS, Azure, Oracle, and GCP cloud platforms hosted in FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments.
  • Evaluate new cloud security technologies and common services and make recommendations for their use.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure cloud-based solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a principal liaison for enterprise-level boundary defense initiatives to ensure consistent and sufficient identification and implementation of applicable cybersecurity controls in concert with the agency cybersecurity and cloud architecture and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with CSPs and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud security solutions.
  • Understand the following standards: DISA STIG and NIST SP 800-53.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, IT and/or cyber systems security or computer science with 18 years of relevant experience. Master's degree in related field a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud security, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a DoD or other Federal Government environment.
  • Experience with FedRAMP or FedRAMP+ environments.
  • Experience with public cloud providers (certificate preferred) such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, and GCP in FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions operating within the Government, including DoD Cloud Computing SRG v1 R 4 (or superseding versions or releases).
  • Experience with cloud security technologies such as identity and access management, encryption, and network security.

REQUIRED CERTS AND SKILLS:

  • DoDI 8570.01/8140.02 IASAE Level-III Compliant Certification or IASAE II achieving IASAE III within six months of contract award (IASAE II: CASP+ CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP); and (IASAE III within six months of contract award: CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CCSP).
  • Demonstrated strong presentation communication skills, oral and written; comfortability briefing Government Stakeholders and Executive Leadership.
  • Active Top Secret / SCI eligibility  

 


Target salary range: $240,001 - $280,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
