In this role you will develop and execute capital projects for automated equipment to reduce costs and improve profitability, with a focus on Distribution Center automation. You'll use your technical knowledge and experience to work with integrators and suppliers to provide automated equipment that meets the needs of the project. You'll create opportunities for automation that reduce labor in Schreiber's distribution facilities and work with a team to procure equipment. This position will be located in our Carthage, MO location. You will work with a variety of departments to develop business propositions and executive summaries for capital projects which drive and increase company value.

What you'll do:

• Execution of capital projects that are focused on distribution center automation with the objective of meeting the project success criteria,
• Conduct Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Testing
• Provide guidance in regard to equipment safety and sanitary equipment design when applicable
• Oversee contractors and suppliers during the installation of automation systems, AGVs/AMRs, and robotics
• Work with the plant / DC team to develop training plans for new equipment
• Gather information necessary to develop Request for Quote and Scope of Work documents.
• Development of specifications for capital equipment and provide guidance for the selection of vendors and contractors.
• Providing technical advice and assistance as required to sustain production capacity and capabilities.
• Working with cross functional teams to develop business propositions and executive summaries which support company growth and profitability.
• Investigate, evaluate and implement new or improved technology/methods that improve capability, capacity and overall profitability.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelors in Engineering
• 2+ years engineering experience preferred
• AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle) experience preferred
• Computer Aided Design Experience
• Experience in leading projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to function in a team environment
• End-user computer skills
• Desire to grow and take on new challenges and opportunities
• Ability to travel up to 25%
