Description

BANQUET BARTENDER:

Provide quality service to our guests during their dining experience by executing proper service standards, creating exceptionally well-prepared cocktails and possessing a strong knowledge base of wine and food.


WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Greet guests
  • Set up hors d'oeuvre/buffet tables and pass food and beverage items as requested
  • Set tables to specifications
  • Set up bar banquet bar to BEO specifications within a specific timeline
  • Follow SOPs set in place to standardize event set up and service
  • Provide beverage service by preparing cocktails, serving wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Prepare and serve drinks in a consistent manner to Shore Lodge Specifications
  • Be able to provide proper service to a section of the dining room which includes but is not limited to serving multiple courses, watering tables, bussing between courses, clearing after the event, wine service and coffee service
  • Deliver food and beverage orders accurately and timely
  • Be able to carry trays of food from kitchen area to serving area
  • Take drink orders and accurately enter orders into POS, and deliver orders
  • Possess a functional wine knowledge with the understanding and ability for proper service
  • Anticipate guests' needs and provide appropriate service
  • Use basic math skills to calculate tabs correctly and make change
  • Know Shore Lodge's history and the McCall surrounding area well enough to help familiarize out of town guests with our local offerings
  • Assist other team members as needed
  • Clean and stock service areas
  • All other duties as assigned


Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Set up a mobile bar in a timely and complete manner
  • Communicate effectively with and receive information from guests and team members
  • Ability to functionally multi-task while maintaining a high degree of organization and remaining detailed
  • Excellent customer service skills, prior AAA 4/Star experience preferred
  • Knowledge of wine, liquors, cocktails and mixers, their makeup, history, and flavor profile, preparation and presentation coupled with a thorough knowledge of the ability to prepare to our standards
  • Functional knowledge of food techniques for preparation
  • Ability to carry on multiple conversations while mixing drinks, and using a POS system
  • Excellent cash handling skills
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking and the ability to lift supplies or equipment of 30#''s or more
  • Frequent periods of pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching
  • Constant visual and hearing acuity and frequent agility and dexterity required
  • Possessing a positive attitude coupled with a sense of maturity and leadership
