NoSQL/ SQL + Python Developer/ Integration Engineer

This position will focus primarily on the Performance Analytics Service, offered by SS&C. You will participate as a member of a global team working with modern cloud technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, NoSQL databases and more.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Help implement solutions within customer environments by performing activities such as hardware sizing, software installation and configuration, writing custom scripts/code, data interfacing, batch design, system integration testing, and production preparation.
• Take responsibility for platform deployment into production environments, set up non production environments, document and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with support staff
• Help troubleshoot errors, performance issues, and contribute solutions to challenges encountered by customers during implementation.
• Provide consultancy to clients based on solid understanding of the product and implementation requirements.
• Provide 2nd line support to operations staff, which could be on off hours, in case of issue escalation and more specific client support
• Learn proprietary tools used by Performance Team and understand configuring and developing add ons to these tools, for example Core, Sightline

Required Skills:

• Degree (preferably numerate/technical) or equivalent
• Ability to address and use initiative to deliver solutions to technical and business problems
• Ability and desire to adapt, learn and explore new technologies
• High degree of initiative and learning to work with complex software products with minimal supervision
• Capacity to estimate, manage own work and keep within plan
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases
• Good hands-on use of Linux and Window O/Ss, shell scripting
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. python, node, java)

Integration Engineer

- SQL DB operations proficiency, No SQL DB

- Scripting in Java/Python/Perl etc

- OS Windows and/or Linux

- Aptitude to learn new products and tool on own w/o much of assistance
