Description

Overview

The Medical Board Licensing and Operations Administrator (MLOA) is a multi-faceted position with a variety of duties. The MLOA supervises the staff who support both the licensing and enforcement functions of the BMP, which licenses and regulates MDs and several other healthcare professions. In addition to supervising, key duties are overseeing all of the Board's business functions, payments & deposits, and contracts. Other duties focus on the enforcement and hearing process; the MLOA acts as the "clerk of court" for contested cases, issuing notices, maintaining the record, assisting the hearing officer during hearings, and entering reports in the federal data banks of healthcare providers. The MLOA is also the "superuser" for the Board's online system for licensing and case management, the web-based system used to distribute meeting materials, and the Board's website. The position is ideal for a person who enjoys a variety of challenging responsibilities that offer a lot of room for learning and growth.

TELEWORK:
The Department of Health and Board of Medical Practice supports a hybrid work environment. Upon hire, employees work with their supervisor to create a schedule that aligns with the business needs of the unit. We believe a hybrid work environment promotes autonomy and allows for increased flexibility and greater work/life balance.
