Description
The Fixed Income Trading Analyst partners with traders, transaction managers and sales representatives to grow Stifel's loan trading business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide analytical support to traders in their role of managing and facilitating loan transactions.
- Carve loan tapes, evaluate portfolios and develop strategies to meet client objectives.
- Perform market surveillance and data analysis.
- Prepare material for presentations.
- Manage special project demands of loan traders and transaction managers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Advanced quantitative, analytical and organizational skills.
- Highly proficient in EXCEL.
- Fast learner and self-starter with ability to work independently in a high energy and entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and meet deadlines while coordinating a high volume of work.
- Pride of ownership of work product.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum required: B.S. or B.A. in Finance, Accounting and/or related field.
- Minimum required: 0-2 years of related experience.
LICENSES AND CREDENTIALS
- Minimum required: FINRA SIE, FINRA Series 7 and FINRA 63 within 6 months of hire.
SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- SQL, R and Python are a plus.
- Will be trained on internal systems (Sharefile, LAMA, etc.).
