Description

Neonatology Associates of Northern California (NANC), affiliated with Sutter Healthcare, is seeking BE/BC Neonatologists to join our team.

Our core physician group has provided neonatal care in the Sacramento region since the inception of the Sutter Neonatology Program by Dr. Andy Wertz in 1974.

Our NICU at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento, CA is a busy 61 bed Level IV Regional facility with about 1200 admissions per year.

Our second NICU located in Roseville, CA is a 16 bed Community level NICU with about 450 admissions per year.

We offer various modes of conventional and high frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, therapeutic whole-body hypothermia for HIE, pre-surgical care for complex congenital heart disease and pre-ECMO care. We are backed by a strong medical and surgical subspecialty Sutter-affiliated community.

Our regional transport team is staffed by specially trained nurses and respiratory therapists and brings patients to our NICUs by ground or air from a large geographic area that includes 27 counties.

High frequency ventilation, Nitric oxide and active whole-body hypothermia can be provided during transport.

We take pride in achieving excellent neonatal outcomes, compared to benchmark, by providing evidence-based medical care. Among regional NICUs in California, we have one of the highest survival rates without significant morbidity for neonates <1500 grams, and we make sure we share our patient outcome data with those physicians interested in joining our practice.

We seek enthusiastic and energetic individuals that provide excellent neonatal care and who would also become strong advocates for the promotion and development of our program by taking an active part in teaching, QI projects, hospital committees, and outreach education.

We believe that satisfied physicians favor quality patient care and foster staff and community relationships. Our program promotes a balance between professional and personal quality of life for our neonatologists. We offer a generous compensation, excellent benefits, and an outstanding retirement savings package.

If you are interested in learning more about our program, please send your inquiry and CV to our recruitment team.

Join us and enjoy:

  • Generous compensation
  • A collegial group of physicians that practice evidence-based medicine and have excellent quality outcomes
  • A positive work-life balance
  • Northern California's natural beauty and lifestyle
