Your Role:

 •    Identify, train, assign, and coordinate teams to assist client in complying with applicable environmental compliance requirements during construction.
•    Collaborate with client to determine the level of effort for each project.
•    Perform quality assurance review of environmental inspection reports, environmental compliance summary reports, and issue resolution reports for quality and consistency.
•    Distribute monthly environmental compliance summaries.
•    Communicate as needed with the client and other team members regarding significant environmental issues and noncompliance events, including issuing noncompliance notices and noncompliance resolution reports to the client and contracted construction crews when needed.
•    Coordinate with the team to have proper tools, documents, equipment, and training to be effective.
•    Track resolution and documentation of noncompliant actions.
•    Participate in Project meetings with construction management, agency representatives, and contractor management personnel for integration of environmental issues.
•    Provide leadership in communicating environmental responsibilities and requirements, safe work practices and teamwork to the environmental inspection and specialty monitoring teams.
•    Coordinate with environmental laboratories and manage sample collection and workflow processes.
•    Coordinate with Storm Water Management Team to cost effectively manage staff and meet SWPPP monitoring requirements.

•    This position requires travel throughout Central and Northern California, occasionally with short notice.

Qualifications:

•    A bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related field is required.
•    At least 10 years of experience in environmental consulting or related experience is required.
•    Experience with public utility projects is a plus. 

•    Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills are a must.
•    Computer skills must include Microsoft Word and Excel.
•    Candidate must be able and available to travel throughout California >25% of the time.
•    Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
•    40-hour HAZWOPER certification with current 8-hour refresher is required.

The salary range for this position is $100,000-$125,000.. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
