Project Summary:
The goal of the USAID/OTI Moldova Resilience Initiative (MRI) is to strengthen support for a democratic, European Moldova. USAID/OTI and MSI will work with a coalition of civic, media, and government stakeholders in support of program goals. The program operates primarily through a small grants mechanism and will rely on ongoing analysis of the local context to inform programming.

Position Summary:
The Graphic Design Team Leader will contribute to MRI's efforts to support implementation of strategic communications. The Graphic Design Team Leader will oversee the production of high-quality visual content that complements the activity's communication strategy and enhances the effectiveness of its campaigns. The design will be used for promotional materials, social media, websites, print materials, and other communication channels to convey key messages and engage with the public. This is a short-term assignment with an expected level of effort of 109 days. The position will be based in Chisinau, Moldova.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Graphic Designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support as needed.
- Coordinate scheduling, assignments, and logistics to ensure timely and efficient production of graphic content.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and allocate resources accordingly.
- Produce high-quality graphic content.
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and standards in all visual assets, maintaining consistency and coherence across platforms.
- Review and approve final deliverables to ensure alignment with communication objectives, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
- Provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance their skills and improve the overall quality of output.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in journalism or another relevant field is required.
- Minimum three years of experience working in the communications field is required.
- Experience with USAID-funded or other international organization projects.
- Familiarity with USAID communications policies is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously under pressure in a stressful environment and with partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds is required.
- Ability to work and travel within Moldova is required.
- Fluency in English and Romanian is required.
