Description

The Tom Wood Collision Center, located in Indianapolis, Indiana off of 96th and Keystone, is looking for a Detail/Porter for general shop cleanup, clean repaired vehicles, maintain an organized and clean area for parking and storage, as well as other assisting duties around the shop and office areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment
  • Emptying trash, shop sweeping, and general cleanup
  • Monitoring grounds for proper organization and cleanliness
  • Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs
  • Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris
  • Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices
  • Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals
  • Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects; such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation
  • Restores the appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery, and painted surfaces; uses touch-up paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials
  • Applies dressing on tires and tire wells
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management
  • Other duties as assigned…

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pays close attention to detail
  • Has effective communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
