Position Summary: 

The incumbent provides a wide range of services to ensure a safe, positive, welcoming, and helpful environment for patients, family members, and guests.  Delivers a high level of customer service, creating a professional and positive first impression.  Provides visitor tracking as requested.

Salary Range: 

 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $23.67                  Midpoint     $28.60               Maximum       $33.52

 

Required Qualifications: 

Experience with Word and Excel

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to make quick and sound decisions based on individual situations in order to meet customer needs

Must maintain a clean, well groomed, professional appearance at all times

Effectively responds to the emotional, distraught and/or difficult behavior of guests

Must be able to understand and apply behaviors that are sensitive to diversity of different cultures

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including occasional weekends, holidays and overtime as assigned

Must be available for occasional travel as needed

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Prior experience working in a customer service position, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting

Knowledge of medical terminology

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
