Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required.

Work Experiences:

  • At least 2 years of email marketing and web analytics and on-line marketing experience.  Past experience working with E-Commerce teams required. Retail experience a plus. CRM Database experience a plus.

Skills:

  • Expertise in preparation of email marketing campaigns (inclusive of landing pages, HTML coding, etc.)
  • Excellent analytic skills with the ability to use key tools to dive deep and provide analysis consistently on performance metrics
  • Ability to create leadership level presentations and communicate with large groups as to the performance of the channel
  • Computer skills: Adobe design products (Photoshop), Microsoft Office, Omniture/Adobe Analytics & other web analytics platforms expertise required. Strong background knowledge of html needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, real time environment
  • Communication – excellent written, listening, verbal and e-mail skills
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure critical timelines are met
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to deliver project deliverables with little supervision
  • Ability to work flexible hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Communication – effective listening, speaking, and writing

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies for lifecycle, triggered, and personalized customer facing emails using segmentation and predictive modeling to drive personalization, customer engagement and relevancy.
  • Using available data and analytics, you will make independent decisions regarding the most effective outbound method and content that supports the strategy set by Senior/Executive Leadership.  The data and analytics will also be utilized for you to be able to explain the decisions made to Senior/Executive leadership when prompted.
  • Manages the review of analytics from ESP, Google Analytics and other applicable tools to provide insight on current campaigns, ensures the ROI meets Academy's standards, and suggests new avenues to increase traffic to academy.com
  • Prepares and manages budget, recommends special on-line promotional opportunities based upon data and year round management of budget
  • Lead cross functional meetings to reach decisions on content and overall user experience
  • Utilize email platform to build emails, segment lists and deploy emails
  • Optimize content, implement process improvements, etc. based on gathered empirical data
  • Cultivate relationships with category merchandisers, the creative team, the analytics team, merchants, and marketing to ensure key sales drivers have the proper coverage
  • Supports the Email Marketing Manager in the execution of strategic Email Marketing long term plans that integrate with organizational marketing initiatives
  • Analyze trends, draws conclusions, and provides recommendations of content, subject line, aesthetic testing.
  • Works closely with the E-Commerce team and other key marketing teams to ensure online marketing efforts are obtaining an acceptable ROI.
  • Creates research plan to identify strategic online marketing initiatives, keeps up with industry trends, and work with Digital Marketing to expand the Academy database.
  • Drive engagement with proper audience segments as database grows.
  • Required to learn company policies, procedures and safety rules.

COVID-19 Testing and Face Covering Policy

Academy encourages but does not require COVID-19 vaccination.  In compliance with the OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard, however, Academy's COVID-19 Testing and Face Covering Policy (found HERE) requires that all Team Members submit their vaccination status. Team Members who are not fully vaccinated must wear a face covering while on Academy's premises and submit regular COVID-19 test results at their own expense. Team Members are considered fully vaccinated when they provide Academy with written proof that two weeks have passed since receiving either a single-dose series COVID-19 vaccine or the second dose of a two-dose series COVID-19 vaccine.
