The Social Art Director leads the creative of all in-house created social content and works closely with teams in both marketing and brand to deliver on priorities in their respective organizations. The Social AD can easily translate business expectations into social deliverables that feel endemic and personal in a rapidly evolving social space. Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in liberal arts

Work Experiences:

  • 5+ years of experience in creative environment.
  • Retail or agency experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of social landscapes and an innate desire to be ahead of trends in the space.
  • Self-starter and willing to continuously experiment and persist in order to deliver work that is uniquely Academy.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with multiple stakeholders while prioritizing workload.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
  • Builds cross functional partnerships with peers and proactively seeks constructive feedback.
  • Expert proficiency in social platforms (primarily Meta, YouTube and TikTok).

Responsibilities:

  • Partner across several marketing and brand teams to create the right brief, that leads to a great insight, that leads to outstanding work in our brand handles.
  • Collaborate with our agency partners to manage the ongoing strategy and creative playbook for each of our social platforms.
  • Create, refine, pitch, and produce for all social brand creative work that is not covered by influencers, ambassadors, or UGC.
  • Provide insight and feedback to our social team and their editorial calendar, ensuring business and marketing strategies are being met on an ongoing basis.
  • Work collaboratively with the creative and social team when skills necessary to produce deliverables may be outside of skillset (animation, design, etc.)
  • Lead nimble shoots and manage the entire production process (from concept to delivery) in lock step with our production team.
  • Leverage social insights, analytics, and qualitative engagement to continually evolve and improve our social deliverables and impact it has on our audience.
  • Required to learn company policies and procedures.
  • Duties may change and team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties.
  • Regular attendance required.
  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior.
  • Must be physically able to walk long distances, and film in all weather conditions and environments.
  • Have ability to load in and load out film equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours such as evening, weekends, and holidays as necessary, with frequent travelling.
  • Up to 20% travel required.
