About the Role:

We have the opportunity for you to continue developing your planning career in the role of Field Planner at Willowdale. You will be working full-time hours condensed in to a 4-day working week.

In this challenging role, you will be part of planning team reporting to the Planning Superintendent. The primary function of this position is for you to ensure all our electrical maintenance strategies are translated into effective quality weekly plans ready for execution.

The Electrical Field Planner is primarily responsible for:

  • Developing the weekly plan and facilitating the weekly planning meetings in line with the standardised Alcoa Reliability Excellence (REX) Planning process.

  • Supporting the daily planning process by ensuring information is available to ensure the flow path is achieved in a timely and effective manner as well as capturing outcomes

  • Identifying resources and checking parts are available for the maintenance planning activity and captured in the weekly plan.

  • Contributing to maintenance efficiency and effectiveness by participating in reviews of major activities to seek ways of improvement, reporting on such activities and initiating action where appropriate.

  • Assisting in the financial budget preparation, forecasting and maintenance strategies to ensure your long-term activity schedules are accurate and up to date.

  • Assist with safe work instruction development and carrying out scopes of work to improve work readiness.

What you can bring to the role:

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • Electrical Trade certificate highly desirable

  • Extensive experience in Electrical maintenance activities

  • Well-developed leadership and influencing skills with a proven track record in coaching and mentoring.

  • Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build relationships and communicate with ease, at all levels of the organisation.

  • Demonstrate a dedication to Environmental, Health and Safety.

  • The ability to co-ordinate multiple project/planning initiatives within the maintenance group.

  • Planning and eAM experience will be advantageous but not essential.

About the Location

Willowdale is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia, and is located in the Darling Scarp east of Waroona and Cookernup. It supplies bauxite ore to the Wagerup Alumina Refinery via a direct overland conveying system and helps to produce almost half of Australia's alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia's aluminium.
