THE ROLE: 

This EHS Engineer 2 will work closely with regional and global EHS, management, and respective site representatives. They will support site EHS resources in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, leading new initiatives, and achieving industry leading performance. 

 

THE PERSON: 

The successful candidate is passionate about driving business impact through Environmental, Health and Safety compliance and will appropriately influence company strategy as related to compliance and program implementation at a regional level. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conduct and/or coordinate inspections, assessments, and audits 
  • Compile and analyze results of site risk assessments 
  • Update Safety Data Sheets 
  • Manage and maintain records according to internal specifications 
  • Create and manage corrective action process 
  • Manage waste at selected sites and assist with waste vendor audit program 
  • Develop work instructions as needed to support tasks performed 
  • Assist the Global EHS Team in identifying opportunities to improve plans and programs and prevent injuries and illnesses 
  • Compile and analyze metrics for trends and recommend improvements based on data 
  • Perform other Environmental, Health and Safety duties that may be required to support regulatory compliance and best practices 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Actual work experience in related area is desirable 
  • Demonstrated experience exercising independent judgment in analyzing complex work situations and solving problems 
  • Excellent analytical, organization and time management skills 
  • Competence in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline preferred
