Manager – System Power & Performance

 

Role Summary:

The Power and Performance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the optimization of power consumption and performance across our products. This role requires a deep understanding of hardware and software interactions, system architecture, and power management techniques. The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers to develop and implement strategies that enhance the efficiency and performance of our systems while minimizing power usage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Power Management Strategy:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive power management strategies for hardware and software products.
    • Monitor and analyze power consumption patterns and identify areas for improvement.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Lead initiatives to enhance system performance while maintaining or improving power efficiency.
    • Conduct performance analysis and benchmarking to identify bottlenecks and optimize system resources.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with hardware, software, and system architecture teams to ensure power and performance goals are aligned.
    • Collaborate with product management and design teams to integrate power efficiency features into product roadmaps.
  • Testing and Validation:
    • Define and execute power and performance test plans.
    • Use industry-standard tools and methodologies to validate power and performance metrics.
    • Ensure products meet regulatory and compliance standards related to power consumption.
  • Research and Development:
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in power management and performance optimization.
    • Drive innovation by researching and implementing new techniques and tools.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Document power management and performance optimization processes and methodologies.
    • Prepare and present reports on power and performance metrics to stakeholders.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in power management and performance optimization.
    • Proven track record of leading power and performance initiatives in hardware and software environments. 
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of power management techniques and performance optimization methodologies.
    • Proficiency with tools and technologies for power and performance analysis (e.g., power analyzers, performance profilers).
    • Strong understanding of system architecture, hardware design, and software development. 
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the consumer electronics or semiconductor industry with 15+yrs of exp
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI-driven power management techniques.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance related to power consumption.
