MTS SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for a world class Compiler Engineer to help us build the next-generation, parallel-programming/compilation environment for current and future AMD XDNA devices, including the recently announced Ryzen AI, Alveo V70 and Versal ACAP. You will be working in a broad area, delivering compiler tools to support heterogeneous systems consisting of AI Engine processors, ARM/x86 processors and FPGA/GPU.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering, have knowledge of hardware architectures, compilers, dataflow analysis, AI / ML, and possess communication and leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across geographies and timezones within AMD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of parts of a heterogeneous, multi-core C++ compiler targeting AI Engines for application domains spanning AI / ML, Wireless, DSP, Automotive etc.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience developing compilers, data flow analysis
- Knowledge of LLVM / MLIR is desirable
- Knowledge of multi-core processor architectures is desirable
- Experience in production software tool releases and delivery to external customers
- Demonstrated C/C++ programming skills with production system software
- An understanding of applications in one or more of the following domains is also desirable: Machine Learning, Wireless, Signal processing and Video
- Must be a hands-on person who takes initiative and does whatever is necessary to make a project successful
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Team player with ability to work across a geographically diverse team
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
