We are seeking an accomplished and experienced VP of Power to join our global team. This role will be located in the US and accountable for overseeing and directing the Power business to ensure business development growth and the attainment of profit and operations goals including the vision and mission. Superb leadership skills with a leadership style that mentors their team and engages and involves the entire enterprise in business success. Instrumental to the position will be the ability to recognize and develop talent as a key element of executing operational business plans.
What a typical day looks like:- Accountability for assessment of existing and potential markets and developing and maintaining strategic alliances with key customers.
- Full responsibilities for AM global operations, delivering to customer/project specifications to meet deadlines with defined quality standards, ensuring we have the capacity and scale to meet
- orderbook and growth of business and product lines
- Manage R&D roadmap and product development within budget and timelines required to achieve both market and business growth opportunities
- Direct execution and develop the necessary functional and process expertise in order to deliver customer solutions in a rapid time frame at the lowest possible costs.
- Functional will include, but not be limited to Engineering, Procurement, Materials Management, Regulatory, Quality, Warehousing and logistics, Business Excellence, cross-functional Human Resources, and Financial controls.
- Analyze and understand customers' business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities and align Flex's resources where mutually beneficial.
- Define commercial priorities through a broad and far vision of market and technology needs that will strengthen Flex's market penetration.
- Define business priorities through a broad and far vision to include initiating and managing business development activities that will strengthen, expand, and drive market penetration.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully influence senior-level management, executives, and key clients.

- Managing and evaluating key talent and partnering with Talent Acquisition to provide further potential to business resources.
- Identify and build engineering/technical business cases for investment opportunities in new industry verticals, global regions, and target customers, as well as expand and strengthen existing customer relationships
- Drive, collaborate and steer business development activities to win replacement and growth business.
- Effectively and collaboratively brief and leverage senior executives on strategy and tactics to create, enhance, and customer proposals and consummate deals.
- Successfully negotiate difficult and/or critical business matters in a collaborative fashion with senior executives both internally and externally.
- 15+ years of experience in the Power Industry
- Ability to understand customer needs and utilize Flex capabilities to create a winning value proposition
- Expertise in creating comprehensive customer account plans, account-based marketing, sales processes, and complex proposals in the Power Industry.
- Related experience with marketing, commercial, operational, and financial management
- Proactively provide direction to a Cross-functional team to meet customer expectations and deliver financial results.
- Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical areas within the manufacturing industry by leveraging functional knowledge across multiple business elements with the ability to understand the strategic impact of each in the proposed customer solution
