The position will provide leadership, and guidance to the Corporate Purchasing team at Applied Corporate. This role will also focus on driving functional metrics, creating and documenting functional processes and procedures that impacts supply chain and sales effectiveness, financial performance of the business, and customer perception.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide daily leadership to the corporate buyers and manage Department metrics. 
  • Assist the buyers in creating Purchasing Documents, maintaining all master data pertinent to the Purchasing function.  Including, interchange records, PIRs, consignment records, vendor price updates and adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot & resolve issues brought to the attention of the team
  • Deliver and execute the required integration with all business functions
  • Coach and train wider aspects of the business in the data requirements for Purchasing and Purchasing related activities.
  • Help identify & drive continuous improvements to the data processes that improve consistency, customer service, and eliminate waste
  • Work with IT on new requirements affecting the material master data maintained by the team
  • Provide training to the master data analysts on changes implemented that impact their work
  • Coach, counsel, and provide opportunities for personal growth among the Corporate Buyer team.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred; High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 2+ years of demonstrated SAP working experience or similar ERP system
  • Proven leadership and organization ability
  • Good process orientation and detail focus
