BAE Systems, Inc. employees and sub-contractors support the United States Air Force (USAF) Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) System Directorate as it sustains the existing LGM-30 Minuteman III (MM III) weapon system and acquires its replacement, the YLGM-182A Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD). To successfully field the new weapon system, the GBSD program requires a Secondary Launch Platform-Airborne (SLP-A) to provide an alternate launch capability for the missile system.

Duties will include providing expert advice and support to GBSD Division leaders on all SLP-A aspects throughout the acquisition cycle. Specifically, this BAE Systems team member will be responsible for supporting the government customer in the creation and review, and assessment of contractor design, documentation, architecture, and Model Based System Engineering products in order to meet GBSD acquisition requirements and timelines.
Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.

Required Skills and Education
BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Software, Mathematics, or Physics
Minimum Experience 4 years with BS, 2 years with MS
3 years of directly related experience (2 years with an MS Degree) in systems integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes
Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with customers and company personnel
Must have a current Secret security clearance
Preferred Skills and Education
ICBM experience, preferred nuclear weapon systems (e.g. Ground, Guidance, RS/RV, or aircraft systems) providing technical/engineering leadership with a working knowledge of nuclear missile standards. DoD acquisition experience/accreditation or equivalent
Experience with integrating requirements into existing acquisition lifecycle phases, milestones, and deliverables using systems engineering principles and methodologies
Familiarity with or willingness to rapidly learn DoD acquisition activities in accordance with DoD Directive 5000.01 and DoD Instruction 5000.2 as well as any other relevant U.S. law, DoD, CJCS, United States Air Force (USAF), or other Service Component, directive, policy, instruction, or guide
Prior experience working with classified systems
Prior experience with aircraft integration and test
Master's degree in Engineering preferred
Current Top Secret Security clearance with SCI
