Leads craft supervision , directs, manages and coordinates the production activities of Electricians to include Temp Service installation and removal IAW SI 009-08 and all References provided . Must have thorough knowledge of SI's 009-23, 009-73, 009-123 and all others related to the Electrical DEPT . Must be able to monitor and Direct General Labor in the repair and modernization of Government , Commercial ships, barges, and small craft consistent with the shipyard business plan, and projected changes in volume. Ensures the correct level of knowledgeable and skilled manning is maintained within the organization to support the needs of ongoing projects. Responsible for the department's Schedule adherence, Budget and Quality performance with minimal rework and has an understanding of Earned Value Management techniques. Reviews the performance of subordinates. Interviews applicants for open positions. Drives ethical behavior and instills a culture of Safety, Health, and Environmental excellence. Ensures assigned employees are using the most efficient methods and equipment to accomplish their work. Shares responsibility of self-development with the Craft Supervisor and Craft Manager. Must have Good Work Ethics and be professional . Must be able to minimize , mitigate OT needs and requirements .

Required Skills and Education
Familiar with Microsoft Office and associated Scheduling Software Products. Must have knowledge and experience with Earned Value Management Techniques
Ability to read, interpret, and understand Work Specifications and Standards. Must have Advanced Electrical knowledge. Must be knowledgeable in Switch Gear ,Power Panels, fuse boxes and all other Shipboard equipment.
Must be knowledgeable in reading , interpreting and executing Electrical DWG's . Must be certified in Fiber optics Fabrication and testing to include Single Mode ,Multimode, and ST connectors In accordance with Standard Item 009-123. Must have knowledge in Interferometer testing.
Must be Line Sweep Certified. Must have experience and knowledge of all aspects of Temporary Services to include Electrical , Air, Gas and Proper installation of temporary firefighting capabilities in accordance with Standard Item 009-08.
Preferred Skills and Education
BS Degree and 6 years experience and/or equivalence of 10 years experience running Electrical projects or Temp Services within the ship repair industry.
Connector Certifications in Copper and Fiber Optic connectors.
Line Sweep Certification. Certification as an ASNT level 1 for thermal imaging on SWDB work.
